There is something about sleddogs….

For decades, sled dogs have enabled people in the northern regions of the world to travel vast distances in dramatic winter landscapes. From Alaska, to Greenland, Siberia and Lappland, these dogs enabled polar expeditions as well as delivered crucial mail in conditions that would stop boats, trains and horses. Today, they still support adventurous men and women who seek a true escape into the nordic nature and an experience beyond the phase of everyday city-life.

Our story starts 12 years ago, with our founder Jet. After spending winter as a dog handler in Sweden Klimpfjall, she knew that this was the place where she was meant to stay. The breathtaking views of Jämtland, the connection to the dogs and the authentic relations to the locals inspired her like no place else.

The husky farm is located on the outskirt of the small village Häggsjövik/ Bjornrun approximately an hour and half drive north west of Östersund. In this calm and remote village, nature is all around. With two guest lodges, the estate also extends to a 4000 sq meter reversal and a vast view of the surrounding landscape. The lodges are authentic Swedish houses, build to last through the seasons and stand the test of nordic winter. Here, we invite our guests to leave the city-life behind, slow down, connect with nature and explore untouched areas of Jämtland County at the heels of a pack of huskies.
