Husky Training

During September, when the days are shorter and the temperatures fall, our Husky training for the coming winter begins! This is a unique opportunity to come and train with our amazing pack and learn all the practice and dedication that goes into building a true sled-team.

5 days full of outdoor experiences. From kick-bike sessions to forrest explorations, your time here will be filled with endorphins!

Day-by-day

Day 1: Arrival. If you travel by plane, we will arrange for your pick-up at Östersund airport or train station. As you arrive at our huskyfarm, we want the four- and two-legged to get to know each other. Finally, over a cozy dinner we meet to talk about the week ahead.

Day 2 - 4: Each day kick’s off with a healthy breakfast. After feeding the dogs, 
we then prepare the sleds cards or kick-bikes and the practice-round for each day will be discussed in teams. The length depends on the condition of the dogs and can be adjusted for our participants as well. 
After running, we check the paws, reward the dog with some food, pack away the equipment and talk about the training.
In the evening it is feeding time again fort the dogs, which we love for our visitors to participate in. Finally, we end another exciting day with a warm dinner in front of our open fire.

Day 5: Last day. In the early morning, we will wake you up with an early breakfast, as the time has come to say goodbye to your loyalty dog team. If you traveled by plane or train, we will arrange for transportation to the airport or train station.
